No Shave November. What Does It Mean To Us?

No Shave November
No Shave November has become a tradition for those raising awareness for cancer research. The month-long charity effort challenges men to hold off on shaving for the entire month. The campaign, which was launched back in 2009, started out as a Facebook page honoring a Chicago father of eight who passed away from colon cancer. In a matter of 6 years, it has exploded to a global movement where many document their hairy adventures on social media while others flock to their neighborhood barber shop for a much needed shape up.

In honor of No Shave November we are in search of our next big wedding giveaway. We want to make someone's dream wedding come true. We want to hear YOUR story about either yourself or a man in your life that deserves this amazing opportunity. Men deserve the wedding of their dreams just as much as their brides do. Please post your stories along with a picture of the deserving couple on our blog for a chance to win. We will be picking the winners at the end of this month. We wish you luck!

Big Wedding. Small Budget.

We know weddings aren't cheap. If you pick up any wedding magazines these days and you might have a panic attack thinking you will have to find a money tree in order to have the wedding of your dreams. If you have a spare $14-$20 million, sure you can have the wedding of the century like Mr. and Mrs. Kanye West, but let's be honest, not all of us can afford something like that.

Now we know the sound of a "budget wedding" might make you cringe. It may have you thinking about a horrible dress, bubbles, food that shouldn't be served at a wedding, and cutting people out that you would want there. But in all reality, you don't need to sell your most prized possessions just to have the wedding you have always dreamed about. We are going to let you in on some of our secrets. Here are 7 tips for you to have the wedding of a lifetime and still save your bank account:

Location
1. Location, Location, Location.
This is where you can really save the big bucks in your wedding. Does a friend of your have a killer backyard with a great view? Do you have a family member that might know someone who knows someone with an open field? Are you friends with a restaurant owner that could let you use their space on their day off? This is when you need to start thinking of anyone and everyone you know and what they might have for you to use. Trust me, it will save you a lot of money. This can some times be the most expensive thing about a wedding.

Budget Gown
2. The Dress
We know you are drooling over those designer gowns in every bridal magazine you look in. But you can do just as good without the designer price tag! Offering cash on the spot will help you reduce the high prices in most stores. Also, think about any friends you have that have been married in the past. Look at their dresses and think about buying it from them, you will be amazed at what alterations can do to a dress.

3. Putting a Ring on it
Wedding rings are the symbol of marriage and they come in all shapes and sizes. There are so many deals on rings. The price of gold is very high. Right now it is jumping up and down around the price of $1300 per ounce! What do you care? Well, look around and see if you have any old gold just laying around that you may not wear anymore and sell it to help you pay for a ring that you or your loved one may want. It may just get you the ring you have always wanted.

Wedding Set
4. Dancing The Night Away.
You do not have to spend a large amount on this detail of your wedding. As long as you have family and friends and good music that is all you need. Try to find some speakers, an Ipod, or a mixing deck if you can find one. Ask a friend to be the DJ at your reception. The most important thing is making sure you and your guests are having a good time.

                                                                                                                                                        5.Let's Eat
You shouldn't have to suffer through stale food. Just because you are on a budget doesn't mean you and your guests have to suffer through a horrible meal. A great idea here is to hire a wood burning pizza truck and find friends that will help you out with the gourmet appetizers. Even if your friends aren't the best cooks, just all of you getting together and learning some new amazing recipes will be completely worth all of the work to save some money and have some amazing food at your wedding.

6. Photos
This is a part where couples will drop a very large amount on for their wedding. We know that you want to have pictures to remember the best day/night of your life. But with technology now days, there is no need to spend so much on a photographer. Companies like Eversnap are a bride and grooms best friend. With the amazing quality of cameras and cameras on cell phones, guests can snap pictures of the big day and upload them to your custom site. Just look at it as having more than one amazing photographer. You can also just hire a professional photographer for just a few hours to get the pictures you've always wanted, but remember you only need them for a few hours rather than all day and night. It'll save you a bundle.

7.Honeymoon
Another great idea, is instead of getting the traditional wedding gifts, that you will probably return or not even use anyways, use honeymoonwishes instead. It's a company that you can register with where your guests can buy you stuff for the honeymoon or chip in for your honeymoon. A lot of couples are able to go some where they have always dreamed of going by using this great idea.

Andrew & Morgan. Their Love Story. Our Success.

Andrew's best friend kept telling him he had the perfect girl for him. Andrew would always just laugh it off and tell his friend he wasn't going to let him set him up. But months of begging and pleading with Andrew had past and finally Andrew agreed to meet the girl his friend was always talking about.

It was love at first sight. As Andrew walked into the bar where he was to meet this mystery women, he locked eyes with a women from across the room. He remembers thinking to himself "I sure hope that is the women I'm supposed to meet". She started to walk towards her and she introduced herself as Morgan. They instantly hit it off and have been inseparable ever since.

After only 7 months of dating Morgan went into the emergency room with abdominal pain. After a few hours of testing, the doctors told Morgan she had a mass on one lung and the other was partially collapsed. The testing continued long into the night and she was told she had lung cancer. She was in great shape. She never smoked. And ran daily. She couldn't wrap her mind around what the doctors had just told her. But Andrew never left her side.

3 months after her diagnosis Morgan underwent surgery and was able to be officially cancer free!

Morgan believes that she couldn't have gone through this journey without Andrew. He was her rock through it all. When Andrew came to us with this story we couldn't help but to just fall in love with this couple. We were so excited to be able to grant them this wish and give them their happy ending. Here are some pictures of their beautiful country wedding.
